Differential and Difference Equations
(DDE)

The laws of nature are expressed as differential and difference equations. Scientists
and engineers must know how to model the world in terms of differential and
difference equations, and how to solve those equations and interpret the solutions.
A differential equation is an equation that defines a relation between a function and
its derivatives. In this course we learn how to solve the basic types of differential
and difference equations by elementary methods and to use them at applications in
science and engineering. The study of the course continues the formation of
students' general mathematical foundations to navigate them as future
professionals in the flow of scientific and technical information and providing
them the opportunity to use differential and difference equations in their
professional activities.
